HIM & HER: two months of wedding bliss.

Ethan and I have officially been married for TWO whole months and, surprise! They have been the best two months of my life. For your enjoyment, I asked Ethan to co-write this blog with me. Here are a few things that we have learned about each other in our first couple months being married.

| HER |

1. Ethan does not like to eat leftovers. To fix this little problem, I make four servings of dinner every night. We each eat dinner, then eat the same thing for lunch the next day. This is awesome because we don't waste money on uneaten leftovers, and we don't waste money by going out to eat lunch every day.He compromises with me and eats the same thing two meals in a row because I only make him do it one time.

2.  Ethan loves to cuddle 10 minutes before we fall asleep, and the first 10 minutes after we wake up. No time in between. We will literally fall asleep arm in arm, but throughout the night, we are on complete opposite sides of our king-size bed with enough room for another human to sleep comfortably until we wake up and slowly make our way back to the middle where we procrastinate getting up for classes.

3. Ethan has to have the t.v. or radio on at all times. He must hate the silence because it doesn't matter if we are cooking, folding laundry, playing a board game, cleaning, or eating dinner, he loves to have that background noise. I don't blame him, though, because with just the two of us in our tiny apartment, it gets awfully quiet.

4. Ethan loves to vacuum. This one cracks me up! We didn't buy a vacuum right away because it's a more expensive item, so we just decided to wait until we needed one. One night, after Parmesan Cheese was thrown across the room and managed to hit every square inch of carpet, Ethan told me he was so excited to get a vacuum right that minute because he had been wanting one for weeks. I let him pick it out, and you better bet that I let him vacuum every couple days :)

5. Ethan can't help but put a smile on my face 24/7. Just looking at Ethan makes my heart happy, but sometimes, outside factors interrupt my good moods. Whenever this happens, Ethan forces me to smile by saying or doing something silly and making me realize that nothing is worth frowning. He is constantly making an effort to make sure I am feeling the best that I can be, and I sure feel it.

1. Kayla's territory is the kitchen. She really, really does not like it when I am in the kitchen while she is cooking a meal. She says it stresses her out and puts a lot of pressure on her to do everything perfectly the first time if I am in there watching. I always offer to help though, so she usually lets me do something like warm up tortillas, cook corn on the cob, or cut the lettuce for salad. It works.

2. Kayla gets claustrophobic. This isn't too bad, it mostly just happens when we are laying down and I try to put my arm around her face or neck. She feels super suffocated. I don't know why anyone would feel suffocated when you are accidentally covering their airways, but apparently it happens with her, so I try not to do it often.

3. Kayla sets the alarm so that we have time to cuddle in the mornings. She will literally set an alarm for like 10-20 minutes before we need to get out of bed so we have time to cuddle before we have to get ready. This is the best way to wake up in the mornings because we get to snuggle and relax while actually waking up instead of just hopping straight into the shower out of a dead sleep.

4. Kayla takes forever to get ready, but it's justified now. I now understand the process it takes for Kayla to get ready in the morning. When we were dating, I thought it was a leisurely activity, just sitting around not doing much. Boy was I wrong. That stuff takes time. Mostly because she has A LOT of hair and it takes FOREVER to dry. I'm still surprised it takes so long, but at least now I get it.

5. Kayla makes my happiness a priority. Even if it's just a simple gift from the store like my favorite drink or  buying my favorite game online instead of buying it at the store so I can get a package in the mail, or even spending an extra hour of alone time with me, she always makes me a priority. If there's something wrong or it's been a bad day, she makes sure to have it end on a high note.

One thing's for sure, we are absolutely crazy about each other.
