Katie's Wedding

While we surprised our family for the wedding, I made sure to let Katie know we were coming before anyone else so she would have seats for us at the reception. Since Katie is not LDS, and did not get married in the temple, it was king of fun and interesting to attend a wedding that was totally different than Ethan and I's.

The day of the wedding was so much more relaxing than my own wedding day. My mom and I went to get our nails and hair done, then went home to get ready. We got to the venue about an hour before the ceremony started to help with any last minute things. Katie got married at the same place that Ethan and I had our reception, so there was a bit of deja vu going on, but it was fun to see how we did things differently.

The ceremony was beautiful and Katie looked flawless. They wrote vows to each other and participated in a communion together away from the guests so they could have some time to themselves to talk with God. I think that was my favorite part because a marriage isn't something we can do on our own. We must involve our Heavenly Father so that He is always active in our lives.

The rest of the wedding was a lot of fun. There was a lot of family there and it was nice to catch up with everyone. Ethan and I got to spend some time with Trace & Meghan, who we love. I think we are especially drawn to them because we are all tall people. haha. It was really great sitting next to them and enjoying the evening together.

The next two pictures are from Katie's wedding photographer,
but I sure love my family!

There was good food and dancing throughout the rest of the night, but my favorite part was the photobooth. Those of you who know me, know I have a small obsession with photobooths, so I was more than happy to spend time taking pictures all night. Ethan and I were so busy at our wedding that we didn't get the chance to take any pictures with our friends or family (except I snuck one with Alec), so I took advantage of Katie's photobooth. Here are some fun pictures from the night.

Sunday morning, we headed back to Idaho and didn't get there until three in the morning. It was a long drive for such a short weekend, but I am so glad we were able to support Katie on her special day and spend time with people who we really love.
